Good Sportsmanship Reminder

Good sportsmanship is a very important aspect of the PSL.  ---  We strive to create an atmosphere of competitive play, but with the emphasis on having a safe and fun playing experience.   Respect for officials, teammates and other players is crucial.  While we realize players do take their game seriously, it is important to not let the competitive fire reach a point where we have players verbally abusing officials, other players or their own teammates.  Nothing good ever comes of this type of behavior.  While it not only reduces the enjoyment of other participants, it can only inflame a bad situation.  More can be accomplished by having your team captain address the game official about the situation. ---  Officials make bad calls, players make mistakes - no one is perfect.  So please keep in mind that even if you think the official just made the worst call you've ever seen, that the official is in charge of that field and his or her call is final.  No amount of arguing or yelling at a game official is going to get them to change the call.  Again, if you have a disagreement with someone on the field, please have your captain address the official or other team's captain. ---  This type of behavior is clearly addressed in the rules for each PSL sport and it will not be tolerated.  The actions of a few can damage the PSL experience of many.  ---  Please keep these thoughts in mind at your next PSL sport.  Thanks.
